The Acer Chromebox Mini is the latest mini PC of the brand. It comes with 6W Intel Jasper Lake processors, supports up to 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and can output three 4K displays at the same time. The company is yet to share price and availability details.
Acer showcased a brand-new mini PC at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024 event. Called the Acer Chromebox Mini, the system aims to be a solution for digital signage, a rapidly evolving sector forecasted to reach a value of $45.94 billion by 2030.
To meet the growing demands of this sector, the Acer Chromebox Mini runs on ChromeOS, which aims to offer simplified IT management, advanced security controls, and scalable monitoring. With a fanless and silent design, the company wants to ensure that the mini PC delivers reliable and maintenance-free performance.
Besides, the ChromeOS mini computer is optimized for multiple-screen outputs. It comes with two HDMI 1.4b and one USB Type-C with DisplayPort Alt mode. This port selection allows the system to handle up to three 4K displays (Sceptre 32-inch 4K monitor curr. $199.97 on Amazon).
Other ports of the Chromebox Mini include one microphone and audio jack combo, five USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a Gigabit Ethernet. For wireless connectivity, the mini PC has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Other highlights include a MIL-STD 810H rating, making the low-power system capable of handling different environmental conditions. Acer is yet to reveal the pricing and availability info of the mini PC.
