According to a new leak, Samsung will officially announce the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra on January 17. The phones will largely feature similar specs to their predecessors, with the Korean giant likely relying on exclusive AI capabilities to set them apart.
Reliable leaker Evan Blass has just confirmed the specs and reveal date of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 lineup. The Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event is scheduled to start on January 17 at 10 am PST/1 pm EST, and it appears that AI will be a central focus.
Starting with the Galaxy S24, it features a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz max refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits of brightness. On the back, there’s a 50-megapixel main camera capable of shooting 8K video, along with a 3x telephoto and (presumably) an ultrawide. The handset will ship with 8 GB of RAM and either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, while the 4,000 mAh battery can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes.
Moving on, the Galaxy S24+ will arrive with a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen, but the cameras will remain the same. Its RAM capacity does get bumped up to 12 GB, with the storage options also doubling. Finally, the 4,900 mAh battery will be able to charge faster, going from 0% to 65% in half an hour.
The flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra will boast a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, a 200-megapixel main camera, as well as an extra 10x telephoto module. Storage and RAM options will reportedly remain identical to its Plus sibling, but the battery capacity will get a slight increase to 5,000 mAh. Other noteworthy features include a built-in S Pen and a titanium frame instead of aluminum.
