Shamil Gaziev Discusses Recent Loss To Jairzinho Rozenstruik

Gaziev took to his X account to issue a brief statement on his loss this past Saturday. He explained where things went wrong for him in the fight.

First of all congratulations @JairRozenstruik,good job today.
Got eye and nose damage in 2nd round and couldn’t follow fight plan.
If anyone thinks it will break me, I will disappoint you,I’m going to return gym in the coming days and I promise my fans to get better.

Rozenstruik spoke to media members after his victory over Shamil Gaziev and he said everything went according to plan with the exception of how long the fight ended up going (via MMAJunkie).

“The fight expected it the way I expected it to go, except I didn’t think it would take that long,” Rozenstruik said. “But he had a big, strong head. Eventually, we still got the job done. But it took longer than we thought (it would). … I noticed that in the third round I already kind of broke him. He was kind of giving up. He was late reacting to the jab. I was in there, sticking to the game plan. I was setting traps. He didn’t really go for it. I noticed that.”
